One man was fatally struck on the roadway Saturday when he reportedly got out of the vehicle he was driving after being involved in a collision and ran across Interstate 10 near Fontana. California Highway Patrol officers were reportedly responding to a collision involving a 2007 Honda Civic traveling westbound on the roadway that rear ended a 2002 Nissan Frontier. The driver of the Nissan, a 22-year-old man, then reportedly exited the vehicle after the collision took place. He was running across southbound lanes when an oncoming tractor trailer heading eastbound on I-10 fatally struck him. The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash after sustaining fatal injuries in the incident. The CHP is investigating the crash.
As a auto accident attorney san francisco, I offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased and urge motorists to try and remain safe on the roadway if involved in an accident.
